Forspoken is not wanted even for free. The game divided the opinions of PS Plus users

Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering nearly a year post-release, continues to spark heated player debate. While some PS Plus subscribers express surprise at its inclusion and anticipation for gameplay, others found the experience underwhelming.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium announcement saw unexpectedly positive responses towards Forspoken, alongside Sonic Frontiers. However, a significant portion of those who played the free version abandoned it within hours, criticizing the "ridiculous dialogue" and weak narrative. While some appreciated the combat, parkour, and exploration, the general feeling is that focusing on the story and dialogue renders the game unbearable for many.

It seems unlikely that the PS Plus offering will significantly revive Forspoken's fortunes, given its inconsistent nature. The action RPG casts Frey, a New Yorker, into the breathtaking yet perilous land of Athia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, Frey must navigate this expansive world, battle formidable creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tants, all in a desperate bid to return home.
