Floatopia: Animal Crossing-Inspired Adventure Lands on Android

NetEase Games unveiled their charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia invites players to a whimsical world of floating islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players can farm, fish, and customize their airborne island home.

A Cute Apocalypse

The game's premise involves a world-ending event, but fear not! This apocalypse is more akin to "My Time At Portia" than "Fallout." Players inhabit a sky-bound world of fragmented lands and individuals possessing diverse supernatural abilities, some more useful than others. The key is discovering the potential hidden within seemingly insignificant powers.

As the Island Manager, you'll engage in familiar activities reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," such as cultivating crops, cloud fishing, and decorating your island home. The ability to travel to new locations and meet interesting characters adds an adventurous element.

Social interaction is a core feature, with opportunities for shared adventures, island parties, and showcasing your island paradise to friends. However, multiplayer is entirely optional, allowing for a solitary experience if preferred.

Many quirky characters await, each with their own unique personality and, in some cases, superpowers.

While a firm release date hasn't been confirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
