Maximize Your Pokémon's Attack: The Ultimate EV Training Guide for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Whether you're conquering Tera Raids or dominating ranked battles in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, optimizing your Pokémon's stats is paramount. Simply leveling up through random encounters leaves your Pokémon with suboptimal, often underwhelming, stats. This guide pinpoints the best locations to efficiently farm Attack EVs.

  • Best Places to Farm Attack EVs

  • Eastern Edge of Porto Marinada

Top Locations for Attack EV Farming

Pokémon Center Area – North Province (Area Two)

A community favorite, this northeastern area (near Team Star's Fighting Crew base) boasts a high concentration of Pokémon yielding pure Attack EVs, including Lokix, Scyther, Bisharp, Heracross, Dratini, and Ursaring. Note that some Pokémon, like Falinks, offer mixed EV gains. Consistent battling is key for maximizing Attack.

For precise EV control, the eastern outskirts of Porto Marinada are ideal. Groups of Paldean Tauros yield 2 Attack EVs each, boosted to 10 with a Power Bracer. This allows for efficient accumulation and precise adjustments.

Optimizing EV Training with the Power Bracer

The Power Bracer, available for 10,000 Pokédollars at Delibird Presents (Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa), grants an additional +8 Attack EVs per defeated Pokémon.

This significantly accelerates EV training, making it far more economical than relying solely on vitamins.

Mass outbreaks offer the fastest EV gains, but are less consistent. These Pokémon are top choices:

Flamigo

Common near lakes and swamps, Flamigo appear at various levels, making them suitable for early-game training (Southeastern South Province lakes near Grasswither Shrine). Higher-level Flamigo can be found at Casseroya Watchtower No. 1 (level 50+). Avoid level 9-20 Flamigo due to the potential "Detect" ability.

Paldean Tauros

Found in central-western and central-eastern regions, Paldean Tauros usually spawn in groups of five. Hunting them south of Levincia is highly recommended. Be aware that some possess the "Intimidate" ability.

Strategic EV Training Recommendations

Both Flamigo and Paldean Tauros are excellent choices, yielding 2 Attack EVs (10 with a Power Bracer). Only 26 battles are needed to reach the 252 EV cap. Crucially, avoid Kantonian Tauros, which only grant 1 Attack EV.

Use a "Tropical Sandwich" (Every Wich Way) for the "Encounter Power: Fighting Lv. 1" bonus to increase encounter rates.

Kelpsy Berries reduce EVs by 10, allowing for precise EV adjustments if you overshoot the target.

Efficient EV training requires patience and planning. Utilize the best locations, the Power Bracer, and the right Pokémon to build your ultimate Attack powerhouse!
