Diablo 4 Drops Consumable Updates for Season 5 Unveiling

Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode Unveiled!

Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Data mining from this week's Season 5 Public Test Realm (PTR) reveals the addition of four brand new consumables, exclusive to the upcoming Infernal Hordes endgame mode. This roguelite-style challenge pits players against relentless waves of enemies.

Consumables in Diablo IV restore health, provide temporary buffs, and are obtained through monster kills, chests, crests, or merchants. Existing types include healing potions, elixirs (offering stat boosts like increased armor), and incense (enhancing max life or elemental resistance).

Season 5 introduces the following additions:

  • Antipathy: A rare anointment boosting resistance.
  • Blackblood: A common anointment improving a random core stat.
  • Vitriol: A magical anointment increasing damage over time.
  • Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.

The Infernal Hordes mode itself will feature 90-second enemy waves, followed by a choice of three modifiers impacting subsequent waves. Difficulty directly correlates with reward quality. Players can further ramp up the challenge using Abyssal Scrolls, functioning similarly to the Profane Mindcage Elixir in Helltides.

While details on acquisition methods, usage costs, and crafting recipes for these new anointments remain scarce (the PTR runs until July 2nd), the prospect of these new consumables adds a significant layer of strategic depth to the already thrilling Infernal Hordes mode. Stay tuned for further updates as players delve deeper into the PTR!
