How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
Initially, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To become a Shinigami, accept the first quest offered by the NPC, Hurt Shinigami. This choice is irreversible; you cannot switch to the Hollow path unless you become a Visored (explained later). If you prefer the Hollow path, consult our separate Hollow progression guide. The choice between Shinigami and Hollow is time-sensitive. Choosing Hollow requires immediate action, while selecting Shinigami allows for a delay, but the chain will slowly break over time, eventually forcing you into the Hollow path. If that happens, our resurrection moves list will help you navigate the Hollow endgame.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
Your first quest involves purifying six Lost Souls. Follow this by accepting a quest from the NPC near Hurt Shinigami to deliver a letter to a doctor near the hospital.

These early quests are a great opportunity to learn your abilities. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random power sword from the Urahara shop. For efficient travel, utilize the bus stop ($200) or purchase infinite fast travel (149 Robux) from the in-game shop.

Subsequent quests, marked by a red crosshair, involve defeating Hollows and Corrupted Shinigami, culminating in reaching level 15. These quests include repeatable tasks, progression quests, and those tied to paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu
Strategic skill point allocation is crucial for maximizing your Reiatsu. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers powerful Kido abilities, exclusive to Shinigami. Kido nodes increase Kido damage, while Reiatsu nodes boost your maximum Reiatsu. Kido abilities include:
- Caja Negacion: A lightning beam. Combine with Electric for area-of-effect damage.
- Shakkaho: An explosive energy ball. Ragdoll adds knockback, Fire adds burning.
- Chain Bind: Energy chains pull enemies closer.
- Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with light rods.
- Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball that explodes on contact.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
Reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to begin the Shikai Training quest. Defeat Urahara Kisuke to earn your Shikai powers. Note: This fight is challenging at level 15; consider grinding to level 25 or higher for an easier time.

Unlocking Shikai grants a random powerful ability to your weapon. Re-roll it at the Urahara Shop if desired. Activate Shikai (default Y) when your Rage Bar is full. It ends when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Shikai Mastery increases with Mastery Points earned by using Shikai. Higher Mastery reduces Rage consumption and grants visual effects:
- Level 1 (1-149 Points): Transparent Aura
- Level 2 (150-299 Points): Brighter, particle-filled aura
- Level 3 (300-499 Points): Lightning boost
- Level 4 (500+ Points): Surrounding flying stones
Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era
Reach level 50 to unlock the Visored path, allowing you to utilize Hollow powers. This quest is found at the Vizard's Warehouse. To become a Visored, defeat the King of Hueco Mundo for a 1% chance to obtain Hogyoku, a crucial item for this transformation. This is followed by obtaining the Vizard fighting style.

Hollow Era Visored Mastering
Visored abilities include Mask Control (reduces Hollow control), Visored node (extends mask duration and damage), Cero (Reiatsu beam), Final Cero (powerful overhead attack), and Vasto Rage (temporary Hollow transformation).

What About Hollow Era Bankai?
Bankai is currently unavailable but is expected in future updates.
