Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration
Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six fan conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.
Following Blizzard's decision to forgo BlizzCon in 2024 in favor of alternative events like Gamescom and the inaugural Warcraft Direct, the World Tour represents a fresh approach to fan engagement. The tour celebrates significant milestones within the Warcraft universe, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first.
The six-city tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and will subsequently visit Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, Sao Paulo, culminating in Boston during PAX East on May 10th.
Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:
- February 22 – London, United Kingdom
- March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
- March 15 – Toronto, Canada
- April 3 – Sydney, Australia
- April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
- May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)
While details remain scarce, the events are anticipated to prioritize fan experiences and interaction, rather than major announcements. Expect live performances, unique activities, and developer meetups.
Importantly, attendance will be free but strictly limited. Tickets will not be available for general sale; instead, Blizzard indicates that information on securing these limited tickets will be disseminated through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their regional channels for updates.
The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. While a summer/autumn BlizzCon could serve as a platform for showcasing content from the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion, including the highly anticipated player housing, Blizzard's silence regarding future BlizzCons suggests a potential shift to a biennial schedule. Regardless, the Warcraft World Tour promises a unique and memorable experience for attendees.
