Black Ops 6 Welcomes a New Zombies Map
Say Goodbye to Amalgams (Maybe)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is adding its fifth new map to the round-based Zombies mode. A tantalizing glimpse was revealed on the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch Studio's X (formerly Twitter) accounts on March 12, 2025. The image showcased a grand mansion, its walls scarred by battle, surrounded by burning vehicles and ominous black smoke billowing from within.
The accompanying caption reads: "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" along with the "#Zombies" hashtag. The return of Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War (and a prominent character in this Cold War remake), is a welcome sight.
Keen-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated in the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative of Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb, hinting at a direct continuation of the story.
A significant change is the apparent absence of Amalgam enemies. Responding to a fan comment on Instagram expressing anticipation for hordes of Amalgams, Treyarch simply replied, "Nope." This suggests a smoother, perhaps less challenging, experience for players on this map, as Amalgams are notoriously tough Elite enemies.
