Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war. The recently released gameplay trailer offers a compelling glimpse into this post-apocalyptic world.

Initially showcased at Xbox's Summer Game Fest, Atomfall initially flew under the radar amidst major announcements like Gears of War: E-Day and Perfect Dark. However, its day-one inclusion in Xbox Game Pass immediately sparked considerable interest.

A newly released seven-minute trailer provides substantial gameplay details. The game casts players into a Fallout-esque setting, exploring quarantined zones, desolate villages, and abandoned research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging amidst encounters with hostile robots, fanatical cultists, and treacherous environments.

The trailer highlights a range of weaponry, including melee (cricket bat) and ranged options (revolver, shotgun, bolt-action rifle). Crucially, these weapons are upgradeable, suggesting a deeper arsenal awaits discovery. Crafting plays a vital role, allowing players to create healing items and explosive devices like Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can unlock and develop skills across four categories: melee combat, ranged combat, survival techniques, and physical conditioning.

Launching March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC (and available on Xbox Game Pass from day one), Atomfall promises a blend of exploration, crafting, and intense combat. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, keeping anticipation high for this intriguing survival title.
