The leaked art showcases designs for historical figures, major cities, and weaponry, potentially revealing plot spoilers. While authenticity remains unconfirmed until the game's release, the images appear genuine.
The leak comes shortly before Assassin's Creed Shadows' revised launch date of March 20, 2025, following a delay from its initial 2024 release window. IGN recently spoke with game director Charles Benoit, who explained that the delay primarily focused on polishing the game. While minor adjustments were made to progression and balancing, the most significant changes involved refining the parkour system. Benoit cited the complexity of Feudal Japanese architecture as a major challenge, requiring specific coding and animations to maintain fluidity. He stated that the parkour system is significantly improved compared to previous versions.
