Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for family gatherings. It's a turn-based game for 1 to 4 players, where the goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards. On your turn, you must play a card that matches either the suit or the rank of the card previously played. If you have no matching card, you must draw one from the deck. Even if you have a playable card, you can choose to draw instead.
Special Cards:
-
2: When a player plays a two, the next player must draw two cards. If that player also has a two, they can choose to draw two cards or play their two, forcing the next player to draw four, and so on. This continues until a player without a two draws the accumulated cards.
-
7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.
-
10: Playing a ten forces the player to take another turn. If the ten is their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.
-
12: (Not applicable in two-player games) In three or four-player games, playing a twelve skips the next player's turn.
The game ends when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a two or ten), and that player is declared the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy playing!
